SPEED SKATING MASS STARTMass start makes its full Olympic debut in PyeongChang, 86 years after “mass starts” were last used in Olympic speed skating at Lake Placid (USA). A spectacular ten-lap race involving up to 24 skaters and intermediate sprints, the event was a roaring success when it featured at the Winter Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Lillehammer 2016.
