Hosting the 2024 Olympic Games in Budapest will further energise our nation, the Olympic family and inspire other like-minded ambitious cities to consider hosting future Games.As the Olympic Movement breaks new ground, Budapest 2024 will be the first Olympic Games to be held in dynamic central Europe – reinforcing the aspirations of the IOC.Budapest 2024 will be a festival – a celebration of sport, of cultures and minds, exciting and inspiring all generations across the globe. Our Games concept is interwoven with the fabric of our historic yet contemporary city. The majestic Danube, the connecting artery of Budapest and the region, will be a central Games stage.Our legacy plans will deliver improved recreation, education and healthy lifestyles. They will also provide accommodation to those who need it most, promoting the city as a model of sustainable development. Holding the 2024 Olympic Games in Budapest will mark a significant milestone for Hungary.
