EXPERIENCES
“I was so young when I competed
in my first Olympic Winter Games
in Vancouver in 2010 that I had
no expectations, but I was
determined to learn as much as I
could and enjoy the experience.
In 2014 in Sochi, it was different
because I had won the European
Championships a month earlier
and I went to Russia in good
shape and hoping to finish on
the podium. It didn’t happen – I
finished fourth – but I was not
heartbroken because I was happy
with my performance. I am never
sad if I feel I have skated well.”
“The decision-making process when it comes to routines and costumes
is a collective one. I will sit down with my choreographer, my designer,
with Brian and other people in my team and everyone will share their
ideas about the music and the clothes. The final decision though is mine,
because I am the person who has to go out on the ice and perform.”
