Time to have your say about NADFAS Review! Explore the art of London and Paris at Guildford Book FestivalNADFAS at Night – in SalisburyNADFAS Review would love to have your feedback about its future development. As well as readers, we are also surveying advertisers because they contribute not only to the content, but also help towards the cost of producing the Review.With the rebranding of NADFAS taking shape (see page 8), it seems a good time to ask as many readers as possible to complete an online survey about the magazine. Guildford Evening DFAS and West Surrey Area are back at the Guildford Book Festival with two lectures in the Guildhall on October 14. This year’s line-up comprises Eric Shanes on ‘Impressionist London’, and Linda Collins on ‘Art & Culture in Paris 1850–1930’. In the morning (10.30am–1pm) Eric will examine why 19th-century London was a magnet for several leading French Impressionists and the diverse ramifi cations.In the afternoon (2.30pm–5pm), Linda will explore fi n de siècle Paris – the Moulin Rouge, the can-can girls, the cabarets, the expositions and, of course, the artists. Tickets for each session cost £18 (including coffee and cake), and are available via the ‘Special Interest’ section of www.nadfasguildford.org.uk.NADFAS at Night is going to Salisbury! Lectures will be held at Sarum College, at a cost of £10 each. There are three events, all offering some thought-provoking material: ‘Have You Good Taste’ with David Philips; ’Betty Joel: Glamour and Innovation in 1930s Design’ with Clive Stewart-Lockheart; and ‘Name Dropping: Artists I have known from Dali to Hockney’ with Peter Webb.
