Our vision delivers a “New Vitality”: for Budapest, for Hungary, for the emerging region of Central and Eastern Europe and for the universal dream of Olympism. Budapest 2024 aspires to energise the Olympic Movement with this vitality for the benefit of athletes and fans. The emblem selection process itself was about engaging the youth, ensuring national participation. Our emblem was chosen through an open contest involving hundreds of artists, graphic designers and students of all ages. Our dynamic emblem embodies the celebration of sport and enjoyment of life. BUDAPESTParis 2024’s emblem brings together a world-famous icon of the city of Paris and the ambition of the city – and the candidacy – to lead the way in a modern and fast-changin g world. It expresses Paris’ timeless ability to connect and inspire. The simplicity of the emblem is designed to drive both global recognition and engagement, with people in France and around the world being encouraged to adopt and draw it in their own way.Our emblem symbolises the stunning backdrop that Paris will offer to the Games. Sport and freedom go hand in hand, which is why our Freedom Statue, a symbol of liberty to all generations, stands at the heart of the emblem, arms outstretched. The fountain of colour reflects the warmth of our people and free-flowing water lies at the statue’s feet as a source of life representing the majestic Danube.
