SUPPORT NETWORK PYEONGCHANG“There are around 10 people in my support team and without them I wouldn’t be an Olympic medallist; they are a part of me. My mother has also been a huge influence. She has always been my role model and has helped so much with my career. I hope she is proud of me, just as I am proud of her.”“Hearing my mother’s stories, I always wanted to be part of such a beautiful event. In PyeongChang, I just want to do my very best and hopefully get one step higher [after silver in Sochi]. I won’t change my preparation, but maybe there will be some extra motivation when we get closer to the Games.”“Mental preparation is very, very important to me, but the way I work with it is my top secret! One key part of my pre-race routine though, is being almost late to the start. Somehow that bit of panic always makes me race well later on!” SECRETS TO SUCCESSACHIEVEMENT“Winning the overall World Cup title was a big thing for me. I never actually believed I could achieve that and even now it is hard for me to realise that I did it. It was a dream come true.” DESTINATION PYEONGCHANGOLYMPIC REVIEW 45
