WeightliftingÒThe weightlifter is Hidilyn Diaz, who won silver in the women’s 53kg category to become the first-ever female athlete from the Philippines to win an Olympic medal. What I like about the photo is the timing. If I shot it a split-second sooner or later, she wouldn’t have the same sense of motion in her hair in motion with the weights. I also really love the focus on her face Ð it shows the determination of a world-class athlete Ð and the light touch she has with her hands, showing that all the weight is resting clearly on her shoulders and upper chest.
