WHOÕS READING OLYMPIC REVIEW?Wayde van Niekerk unwinds with the latest edition of Olympic Review following his world record-breaking exploits on the trackIt’s been such a humbling experience. I’ve met so many people who have found pleasure in what I’ve achieved; it’s really amazing and I’m really thankful for being blessed with this accomplishment. It gives me more reason to appreciate what I have in life and makes me want to use these opportunities even more, seeing thatI’ve been blessed with this talent.I’ve been able to take pictures with a lot of amazing athletes; you’re star-struck every time you leave your room in the Village! I was particularly star-struck when I met Sonny Bill Williams [New Zealand rugby player]. I’m a fan of how he plays rugby and it was amazing that he took time to talk to me, although I could hardly speak! I also got the opportunity to watch the Brazilian football team, which was quite a highlight.
