10 AugustAs another day of incredible action drew to a close, Australian swimmer Kyle Chalmers brought fans in a packed Aquatics Stadium to their feet. Trailing in seventh at the halfway stage of the men’s 100m freestyle, the 18-year-old – who won three bronze medals at the YOG just two years ago – came from behind to secure a spectacular victory and become the youngest winner of the event in 36 years. Earlier in the day, two veterans made history by claiming their third successive Olympic titles.
