National NewsUpdate on the Capability Brown tricentenary project; £4.7m funding for Gainsborough’s House redevelopment; NADFAS Review reader surveyCommittees to be recognised in awards The Marsh Christian Trust has generously agreed to sponsor a further award for NADFAS volunteers. This time it is for the most critical volunteers of all – those who serve on Society committees. They are the hub from which all other activities are developed, so we are delighted for the opportunity to recognise and honour them too. The new Award will be for a committee that has made a signifi cant difference to their Society within the past year. It could be for running a successful recruitment campaign, establishing a successful community project, or supporting another local Society, though there are many ways in which a committee/ team could make a difference. At the moment, suggestions are being invited for a suitable name for the award, which will be decided soon. If you wish to nominate a committee (or a group/individual for Church Recording, Church Trails, Young Arts or Heritage Volunteering), please visit www.nadfas.net/marsh-award. The closing date is January 31, 2017.Thanks to ChristinaChristina Briant, HR and Offi ce Manager at NADFAS House, will celebrate 25 years working for NADFAS in November.
